Who We Are

The A.W.O.O. Association is a small social group of people founded in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. We are not just a chat room. We are a community, a non-profit Oklahoma Incorporation, and federally-recognized 501(c)3 public charity organization.

Though we are largely made up of those that are particular to the anthro fandom, our roots stem from our common desire to build a community celebrating anthro arts and culture while also hosting charitable events. We believe the furry fandom is supposed to be one of the most loving and accepting communities in the world, and we plan to lead by example.

This organization is nonpartisan and supports no political or religious causes. Our mission is to build a community and host fundraising events that are welcoming and enjoyable to all, regardless of background. All species are welcome, drama llamas excluded!

What We Do

AWOO is also more than just a convention organization. Free Fur All is America's Anthro Convention, and our largest event. But beyond that, we are a community. Before Free Fur All, we were just a community of associates that volunteered to host gatherings and help with charity. We still consider that to be the core of who we are. We are a relatively small group, but together we can do things larger than ourselves. We invite you to visit us at Free Fur All, open to the public Memorial Day weekend, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. All charitable events and a portion of event proceeds benefit Safari's Sanctuary, a local wildlife refuge. Please join us in donating or volunteering in person for Safari's or your local wildlife sanctuary. Wherever you are, your community needs you.
